Qiu Xiao-Wen:

>> Qiu Xiao-Wen: Member and dizi (bamboo flute) player of the Melody of Dragon Group. She received her J.D. degree from Columbia Law School and practiced law in NYC for many years. More recently, she has devoted herself to studying traditional Chinese culture, including history, philosophy, poetry, calligraphy and painting. She has also developed a strong interest in traditional Chinese music, and began to learn dizi from Chen Tao (the dizi master and teaching master of Melody of Dragon) at the end of 2021. So far, she has mastered more than ten famous dizi compositions in either northern or southern style. In November 2023, she participated in the performance of the Melody of Dragon Group at the School of Columbia for her debut; receiving high praise!
